Crazy Crowd in MRT

look at the crowd! Crazy rite? Even getting into the train is difficult, much less to say get a seat.

Everyday Minerals

Everyday Minerals. had heard so much raves it, but didn't get about trying since it's not available in Singapore. Everyday Minerals was running a promotion some time back, that gives 40% (or was it 45%) discount for order of 12 items & above so it's a really great bargain so i placed my orders. bought eyeshadows, bases (similar to foundation), concealers, eyeliners, blusher, loose/finishing powder, and lots and lots of brushes! the offer also gave me the opportunity to place more orders to try out various stuffs!

Was really worried about choosing the right base color, so I ordered 2, Golden Medium & Buttered Tan in intensive. Thank God both blends in with my skin color very well. If you're tan, with yellow/warm base, you may want to consider these 2 colors too. :) For me, sometimes I'll mix the 2, on other days, I'll choose whichever color depends on my mood. Buttered Tan ishas the exact skin tone as my skin, and Golden Medium looks slightly abit fairer, hence looks slightly more makeup, but both looks very natural.

Am very very happy with my purchases. Everything looks sooo good and yummy! and it's the first time I don't have to worry about cakey or unnatural makeup. The application is easy, and goes on naturally. I'm surprised that I'm able to create light makeup (almost bareface look, less the flaws), as well as thicker makeup for nights. just buff and blend blend blend.

For concealers, I bought mint color corrector and multi-intensive. For concealers, I'll recommend buying the sample size unless there's a sale going on (like the promo I had, was only for full sized product). Only reason i recommend sample size is because full size is ALOT! one whole big tub of concealers. i think can conceal the whole body, or use for 10 years! Alternatively, share it with friends! Just go to Daiso or any random shops that sell those small tubs (usually priced around $1.50 for 2).

I've to admit the mint color corrector looks really wierd but once you blend it well, it looks great! The flaw just disappear! just a bit will do, don't be kiasu and use alot or you'll end up with one patch of green/white. it works best on red pimples, or those red marks. for those darkened marks, I recommend using the multi intensive concealer. it can be used on the eye, as well as on the face. i love it! I think you can get the full-sized for multi intensive since it can be used anyway. a really great buy! for blending, u can use your hands or a concealer brush. for me, i'm using the concealing brush cos it works very very well for me.

Blushers. I bought New Car Smell and Summer Stroll. Both looks kinda similar, more towards the orangey kind, but Summer Stroll seems to looks alot more stronger, even though I applied very lightly. I love New Car Smell (shown above) and it's now my everyday wear. Initally, I was very concerned about sheens as I've oily skin, so the last thing I want is to enhance it. Thank God it looks very natural, and I actually like the sheens! The matte looks a little boring now. :)

Brushes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Everyday Minerals BRUSHES! IT's awesome and worth every cents! And it's really cheap! The brushes are extremely soft and smooth, and extremely comfortable to the skin. I've tried some brushes that makes my skin itch, but not this one! It's so smooth and nice! Me Likey!! For basics, I'll recommend getting the Flat Top Brush for application of the base, and the Long Handled Kabuki for finishing. If you want to save money, just get the Long Handled Kabuki, but honestly, get ALL the brushes! You won't regret it!

My only rant from the purchase? The packaging! The plastic breaks so easily! Quite a few of the lids of the casings have broke and I can't tighten them anymore, so i can't bring them out! LOOK! this is just one of them! arghz!! and this is still one of the better ones. The one for my finishing powder have the sides totally broken and only the top is left! *pulls hair*

But all in all, it is a AWESOME buy. Mineral makeups are gentle to the skin, and blends well. and my total buys including shipping (it came from US), each item costs less than S$10! (but well, there was the promos earlier la..)

Please Keep to your Left. Easy Right?

Apparently, it's not very easy.

People enjoys hogging the escalator. When they see the right side of the escalator is empty, they love to move to the right and hogged the whole escalator. some of these people will then turn around, and when they see they are blocking the way, some of them with brain (or heart) will shift to the left, some will look smug that they are blocking everyone and continue blocking.

seriously. i wonder what goes on in these people's brain.

is it so difficult to keep to the left? can't they understand that someone is actually in a hurry and needs to move up the escalator fast? don't they understand the meaning of overtaking, and slow moving "vehicles"/humans should keep to the left lane?

and what's with standing right at the exit of the gantry to dig thru their bags, wait for friends, talk on the phone? simple common sense should tell them that people are coming out right?

and must some people walk and play with their PSP/DS Lite? will pausing the game or video for that few minutes kill you?

seriously..what's wrong with these brainless or unconsiderate chaps?

Wendy's, Lau Pa Sat, Singapore

Wendy's, the latest fast food craze in Singapore! Their menu is very interesting, and I love their Caesar salad and bake potatoes!

Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken, S$6.00

Baked Potato, Chilli & Cheese

Overall a satisfying experience. I felt that they should give more chilli for the bake potato though. Felt a little too dry, but well, maybe that's their way of asking us to buy their chilli! :) Their chilli is not your usual sambal chilli or chilli ketchup. it felt alot more like the sauce you find in your spaghetti..with beef.

Lunar New Year Celebration at Chinatown, Singapore!

It's the time of the year to be all ching chong again! What's Chinese New Year without the jams at Chinatown? It's the only time of the year that Chinatown will get to see a huge crowd!

The famous annual human jams in Chinatown CNY night markets. It's the fastest and surest way to get into the mood for CNY. Somehow, the festive mood this year is not so strong. People I've spoken to are all complaining about the lack of festive mood around. Anyway, the most fun thing about CNY night markets are the crowds, and the never-ending muah chee stalls that keeps screaming and asking you to try! Free tries! Yumz!

And what's CNY without the infamous long queue for Lim Chee Guan's bak kwa? :)

Wishing everyone a Happy & Prosperous Year of the Tiger!
